By providing a sterile, single-use and affordable catheter, Millar has removed the barriers to Mikro-Tip pressure measurement in cath labs. The Mikro-Cath catheter effectively eliminates the logistical concerns of resterilization. This combination of price and sterility allows you to bring Mikro-Tip accuracy back into your routine procedures.
Using an appropriately sized guide catheter or introducer, the interventionalist can integrate the Mikro-Cath into procedures requiring measurements such as:
- Left Ventricular Pressures (LVP)
- Right Ventricular Pressures (RVP)
- Pulmonary Artery Pressures (PAP)
- Mean Arterial Pressures (MAP)
- Pulmonary Capillary Wedge Pressures (PCWP)

In addition to providing a consistent and reliable high-fidelity signal, the Mikro-Cath provides cost savings. The Mikro-Tip sensor eliminates the need for an external pressure transducer and removes the associated tubing. As a result, procedure time is reduced because setup is minimized and there is no need to de-bubble the fluid line.
Indications for Use Statement
The Mikro-Cath is a single-use cardiovascular catheter intended to be used for medical research and diagnostic purposes. The catheter is used to measure hemodynamic cardiac pressures in the human body to allow physicians to better understand cardiac health. The catheter would be used as a minimally invasive device under short term limited body contact for less than 24 hours. The typical application will be through the femoral artery with the use of an additional guiding catheter.
