The SPR-869 rat pressure-volume catheter is designed to measure simultaneous left or right ventricular pressure and volume in rats. Built to the highest quality standards, the catheter combines a proven Mikro-Tip® pressure sensor with four electrodes to collect real-time pressure-volume data.
Due to its smaller electrode spacing, SPR-869 is becoming a more popular option as cardiovascular researchers continue to focus more on the right ventricle. With a pressure sensor diameter of 2F and 1.1F along the catheter body, this model offers the ideal combination of durability and ease of use for hemodynamic studies utilizing rats 350 g and smaller.
The SPR-869 provides a 12.5 cm usable catheter length and a 6 mm electrode spacing for optimized ventricular volume measurement in smaller rats. For larger studies utilizing larger rats, consider the SPR-838 pressure-volume catheter.
Millar Instrument’s is dedicated to finding ways to increase customer access to the highest quality tools for performing successful research. This is why Millar offers the No Repair purchase option on the SPR-869 and other select small animal pressure and pressure-volume catheters. To learn more about the No Repair option, contact your sales representative or distributor.
For complete hemodynamic analysis, use the SPR-869 mouse pressure-volume catheter with the MPVS Ultra® or MPVS Ultra® Single Segment system, PowerLab 35 Series data acquisition system with LabChart Pro and the PV Loop analysis module.
