Millar’s Ventri-Cath pressure-volume loop catheter is the ideal solution for researchers who work every day to unlock the answers to cardiovascular disease using the large animal model. Only the Ventri-Cath delivers a combination of unmatched accuracy, market-leading value and compatibility with the most versatile PV loop system available.
The Ventri-Cath is reusable - non-sterile and is the only PV loop catheter capable of providing up to seven segments of volume measurement. By dividing the signal into many smaller signals, Millar is able to deliver the most accurate measure of cardiac function in a variety of ventricular sizes and disease states. When connected to our MPVS Ultra, the Ventri-Cath provides instantaneous catheter position feedback to facilitate real-time adjustment of the system to accurately match the number of active volume segments to the ventricular axis length. This allows a single catheter to be used across a number of animal models or heart sizes.

Ventri-Cath 510
The Ventri-Cath 510 provides high-fidelity pressure, volume and internal ECG signals when connected to the MPVS Ultra system. This model features seven, 10 mm volume segments for a total ventricular measurement of 79 mm, excluding the pigtail. This distance can be dynamically adjusted during PV loop procedures to match individual ventricular axis in the MPVS Ultra control software. It is most suited for use in larger dog and pig models as well as sheep. Its improved pigtail design optimizes catheter placement by increasing the percentage of the ventricular volume measured by the catheter.
* The Ventri-Cath 510S is the model's straight version.
* The Ventri-Cath requires the CEC-10PV cable (sold separately) to connect directly to the MPVS Ultra.
* Users with existing cables for SPR-550 and SPR-560 series catheters can purchase the CEC-1X adapter cable.

Ventri-Cath 512

Its improved pigtail design optimizes catheter placement by increasing the percentage of the ventricular volume measured by the catheter.
