Along with the SPR-330A, the SPR-249A is one of Millar’s most popular catheters for performing hemodynamic pressure studies in the rabbit sized small animal model. With a Nylon catheter body of 2.2F and a 3F pressure sensor, this model offers increased flexibility for users who prefer a less stiff catheter option during surgical placement.

For an entry level small animal hemodynamics system, use the SPR-249A pressure catheter with the PCU-2000 pressure control unit, a modular PowerLab data acquisition system with LabChart analysis software and the Blood Pressure analysis module. Or for the most complete cardiovascular analysis solution for your lab, combine the SPR-249A with the MPVS Ultra® Pressure-Volume Loop system and a small animal multi-segment pressure-volume catheter.
